FYSA Soccer League Description The Recreational Soccer Program is designed to allow children the opportunity to play soccer in a supportive and
rewarding atmosphere, regardless of the individual child's ability. The first and foremost goal is to have fun, while developing soccer skills, building sportsmanship, and
encouraging a lifelong love of the game. All games at the recreational level are non-results orientated. This means scores are not recorded nor are standings kept. Play at
this level is designed to focus completely on player development.
All children, regardless of ability, are given play time during each game and encouraged to improve at
their own rate. We at FYSA want all children to love going to practices and games and most importantly, return season after season.
Each child will need shin guards, appropriate shoes, soccer ball, and a water bottle. Jewelry and metal
hair clips may not be worn during practice or at games. The team practices once a week, and league games are weekly; game times vary.
